Recipe for Fun!

Perfect play idea for multiple children to play indoors or outdoors, at home or on a trip!

STEP 1: Begin by drawing a grid of dots on a sheet of paper. The number of the dots drawn will depend on the age of the children playing. The older the children, the more dots!

STEP 2: The first player draws a line connecting two dots that are next to each other.

STEP 3: The next player draws another line connecting another two dots.

STEP 4: When connecting two dots creates a square, have the child put their first initial in the center to claim the square. OR the child can color in the square with a crayon to indicate that it’s their square. (Remind the child to use the same color for all their squares!)

STEP 5: Depending upon the time you have to play, try to make as many squares as possible by connecting all the dots on the paper. The player that creates the most squares wins!
