Best played with multiple children, this game combines the best of both worlds – art and music – to bring out whatever talent your child may have. Use this activity to introduce your children to different genres of music and diversify their understanding.
STEP 1: Set up each child’s area with a sheet of paper and colored pencils, crayons, markers.
STEP 2: Instruct the children to start drawing when you play the music and stop drawing when the music stops.
STEP 3: When the music stops, instruct the children to leave their area and move to the next child’s area.
STEP 4: Start the music again and instruct the children to continue drawing and coloring on their neighbor’s sheet until the music stops again.
STEP 5: Continuing this process, move and complete the steps again until you have determined that time is up or they make it back to their original seat and sheet of paper.
STEP 6: When each child makes it back to their original seat have them each display their collective finished artwork.
